The main purpose of ASEAN Journal on Hospitality and Tourism is to advance and foster tourism and hospitality education, research, and professionalism in the Southeast Asia region. The journal provides a vehicle for increasing awareness, consideration and analysis of issues in tourism and hospitality, and also promotes the interchange of ideas, and comparative studies, both within the countries of the region and between these countries and other parts of the world.
The journal aims primarily at a wide range of persons who are concerned with the tourism and tourism-related issues in the countries of the Southeast Asia region, for example:
- Those who are involved in planning, policy-making and consultancy positions
- Those who are involved in tourism and tourism-related activities, at the executive and senior management levels
- Those who are involved in teaching and research on tourism and tourism-related issues
